Phantom of the North

Lapinpöllö

Owls are almost the perfect predators. Silent in flight, excellent night vision, and camouflage that works perfectly to their natural habitat. The Great Grey Owl or Lapland Owl as we in Finland tend to call it, lives mostly in the north part of Finland, but when the winter is tough they migrate southwards in search of food.

A Beautiful bird and much more beautiful in flight, but unfortunately this fellow was too content and fed and stayed on his branch for all the time, just turning his head around a bit..
