Christmas is closing in. Winter is upon most of the land, but the Helsinki region still is dark and bleak. Half an hour away and what you get is this:
Not a lot of snow by any means, but still what one would call winter.
This rock seemed to be split in two, somehow interesting.
Birch trees have a beautiful cover. A very common tree in most of Finland. The ones in Lapland are quite small though.
Enjoy the week end everyone, be safe!
Sometimes the view around us is not especially photogenic or pretty but at these times I tend to watch the skies. Either the birds or the sun and the clouds together can paint a beautiful vista.
Winter has arrived. The amount of snow we got here in Helsinki last night is enough to justify this argument. The weather reports promise lots more in the next couple of days so I guess there will be a lot of snowy pictures coming up in the next weeks and months.
Some trees grow apart from the rest. They somehow remind me that some of us people are lonely as well. Just a kind word or a smile on the bus or in the store might make a persons day better, less cold.
